The Loeb Research Group

Welcome!

In the Loeb research group, our goal is to develop fundamental knowledge and technical solutions that can aid society in maintaining and protecting a healthy environment and resilient infrastructure. The use of light, a ubiquitous source of energy, is a common theme throughout our research projects. We aim to understand how light from natural and artificial light sources drives environmental processes, and to develop novel light harnessing materials-based processes for environmental remediation. Check out our Research Page for more information on current projects.

The lab is led by Prof. Stephanie Loeb in the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University. The lab works collaboratively with the CentrEau Quebec Water Research Centre, TISED: The Trottier Institute for Sustainability in Engineering and Design, and several other research centers on McGill campus, in Canada, and internationally.

We are always looking for enthusiastic, driven students and researchers to join our team. If you are interested, please refer to our Prospective Students page for more information.
