Please include your CV, a short description of your research interests, your desired position or program of study, desired start term, and information on any external funding that you have already applied for or are seeking.

Please note that I receive several emails per day from prospective students. If your email does not include the above information, or your research interests don't clearly align with our group, you will be much less likely to receive a response. 

Graduate Students [PhD and Master's]. Graduate students interested in joining our group must apply to the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University. Please review the program requirements, including minimum academic requirements, application details and deadlines on the department website. It is best to contact Prof Loeb by email to express your interest in joining the group a few months before the application deadline. 

Undergraduate Students. I am always pleased to hear from ambitious undergraduate students at McGill who take an interest in our research! Undergrads may consider applying for the SURE (summer undergraduate research in engineering) program, or taking the research course CIVE470. 

Postdoctoral Research Fellows. We do not currently have any open funded postdoctoral research positions. If you are interested in applying for joint funding, or seeking a sponsor for a funding application, please reach out by email with the information noted at the top of the page. 

External Funding Opportunities (not exhaustive). Although applying for external funding is not a prerequisite for acceptance into the lab, it can greatly maximizes your chances. It is highly advantageous to become familiar with the scholarship and funding opportunities that are available to you before applying.
